PRINCE2 Agile®

Introducing PRINCE2 Agile, the world’s most complete project management solution, combining the flexibility and responsiveness of agile with the clearly defined framework of PRINCE2®.

PRINCE2 Agile is a new extension module tailored for forward-thinking organizations and individuals already benefiting from PRINCE2 that would like further guidance on how to apply agile methods to the world’s most recognized project management method.

PRINCE2 Agile is the first major product development from AXELOS’ project and programme management (PPM) portfolio and will be supported by an exam qualification and accredited training to support its use. As with PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile can be applied to any type of project within any industry sector.

Developed in response to demand from our user communities, the new guidance will help experienced PRINCE2 practitioners tailor management controls for agile development, while helping ‘agilistas’ understand PRINCE2 governance requirements.

The key benefits of PRINCE2 Agile:

  • allows projects and Project Managers to focus on both management and delivery
  • enables you to scale work to your precise requirements
  • will work with any established agile approach
  • is a collaboratively-built programme that is corporate-friendly.

PRINCE2 Agile is available to currently qualified PRINCE2 Practitioners. The majority of PRINCE2 Agile guidance will be new material and will examine how PRINCE2 and agile methods can interact and be adapted to accommodate each other in order to benefit overall management of projects

About 10 hours of pre-course, work will be set, and this is important to ensure that candidates have a reasonable overview of the course, and are familiar with the latest version of PRINCE. The course itself is over 3 eight-hour days, with up to 2 hours homework per night. There is a single exam, taken in the afternoon of the 3rd day. This consists of a scenario and 5 questions. Each question has 10 sub-questions, making 50 marks available. The pass mark is 50% (25 marks).
